I started my career at Hanacans right after graduating from university. The Company not only provides a professional and fair working environment but also places strong emphasis on employee development, including the Voluntary Promotion Policy.

Through this policy, I had the opportunity for accelerated promotion via a clear, transparent, and structured evaluation process. Although the journey was challenging, being recognized and promoted has been a strong motivation for me to continue improving myself and contributing more to the company’s development.

The Company’s Job Rotation policy has been a valuable experience for me. Being rotated from the Bac Ninh Plant to the Vung Tau Plant as ENG Sec Rep for two months helped broaden my knowledge, skills, and professional perspective.

Despite initial challenges adapting to a new environment and unfamiliar areas such as utilities, wastewater treatment, and electrical systems, the hands-on experience strengthened my confidence and capability. This opportunity has pushed me to step out of my comfort zone and continue developing myself.

Through the internal transferring policy at Hanacans, I stepped into a new role as Sales Admin in the Sales & Marketing Department, transitioning from my previous experience in accounting. This position challenged me to apply my financial knowledge in a broader business context, helping me develop a more structured and efficient approach to cost calculation and better support the team’s operations. It also gave me a deeper understanding of the connection between finance and business, enhancing my perspective on strategic decision-making.

I am proud to be part of Hanacans, where I have the opportunity to grow professionally while aligning my work with the company’s direction and development.

I joined the company in 2006 when Hanacans was a Vietnamese company. In 2014, the company was acquired by Showa Aluminum Can Corporation. During its transformation to become a Japanese company, I was surprised by the meticulous working style, as well as the thinking of Japanese on safety issues. While safety was hardly emphasized in the past, this matter is completely focused since becoming a Japanese company. Safety is one of the top priorities. We always use the words “ Go anzen ni! ”(Work in safety) every time to greeting, and after a long working day, we also said goodbye to each other with "Go an zen ni!", as a reminder "Go home in safely!". 

Personally, it is very simple but make a deep impression on the employee for the company’s consideration for the safety.

After graduating from University of Foreign Languages, I started my career as a Japanese interpreter and it has been 8 years since I worked in this position. I still work as normal and have not thought to change this working position until joining Hanacans. However, the rotation policy of Hanacans has created a turning point in my career path. Not only being an interpreter, but I was promoted and tried at the new position human resource development and public relations team leader. Thanks to this opportunity, I discovered my potential and found this job very interesting and suited to my strengths. 

I feel that it is an extremely valuable time at Hanacans that helps me to have a better orientation for my career in the future. I am very proud to be a member of the Hanacans and look forward to accompany the company in the near future.

I love playing sports, especially football. When I was a student, I used to join the class football team and often practice and play every weekend. However, I had to put my passion aside because of my hustle and bustle pace of life, and especially since I work in shift. Fortunately, when working at Hanacans, I sponsored to rent football course weekly and facilitated to organize the football matches between the company and customers as well as annual football tournaments, which helps us improve health, relax after working time and enhance spirit of cohesion among colleagues and departments.
