In 2025, Hanacans achieved a major milestone by sourcing 100% renewable electricity for Scope 2 through International Renewable Energy Certificates (I-REC). This achievement enabled the company to exceed its 2030 Scope 1 & Scope 2 SBTi target ahead of schedule.

Electricity use was balanced with renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, and hydropower. This approach helps reduce CO₂ emissions from electricity consumption while ensuring compliance with current environmental requirements and standards.

This result marks an important step in the company’s decarbonization roadmap. Going forward, Hanacans will continue to focus on operational improvements, enhance energy efficiency, and maintain stable, long-term emission reductions.
