Hanacans Joint Stock Company Has a Ceremony to Celebrate the Completion of New Can Making Plant – Ba Ria – Vung Tau Plant

Hanacans Joint Stock Company (HAC), a subsidiary of Showa Aluminum Can Corporation (SAC) (belongs to Showa Denko K.K. (SDK)), headquartered in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, had a ceremony on July 29 to celebrate the completion of new Can Making Plant located at Lot VIII-5, VIII-6, My Xuan B1 – Tien Hung Industrial Zone, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province - southern of Vietnam.

Ba Ria-Vung Tau Plant is the third Plant of HAC and has production lines with a capacity to produce 1.3 billion can bodies per year. In addition to the construction of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Plant, HAC is now installing an additional line to produce can ends in Bac Ninh Plant - Bac Ninh Province.

Since acquired in May 2014, HAC has been introduced leading-edge production technologies and quality control system by Showa Aluminum Can Corporation (SAC) (the first aluminum can manufacturer in Japan) and successfully increasing the sales of aluminum cans in northern and central of Vietnam. As a result of the completion of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Plant, HAC has established an aluminum can production system with three Plants that covers northern, central, and southern of Vietnam. Now HAC has a capacity to produce 3.3 billion can bodies and 3.3 billion can ends per year.

HAC will pursue further increase aluminum can sales in Vietnam through its effort to make HAC’ new Can Making Plant the one that quickly and timely offers the best quality products in the region which meet  demands of the customers and contribute to the development of Vietnam.
