Hanacans Joint Stock Company (HAC), a subsidiary of Showa Denko K.K. (SDK), headquartered in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, has decided to establish Third Can Making Plant in Vietnam to produce aluminum cans, aiming to expand its business in Vietnam. This new Plant is to be located in My Xuan B1-Tien Hung Industrial Zone in Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province - the Southern of Vietnam with the production capacity up to 1.3 billion can bodies per year. In addition, HAC has also decided to install an additional line to produce can ends with production capacity of 1.1 billion can ends per year in the existing Plant in Bac Ninh Province. Upon completion of new Plant, HAC will have three Plants from the North to the South to meet demand of customers throughout Vietnam, and increase its total annual capacities to 3.1 billion can bodies and 3.3 billion can ends. The total amount of investment in the construction of the new Plant and additional can-end production line is expected to be about USD 68 Million.
