Hanacans Joint Stock Company (HAC), a subsidiary of Showa Denko K.K. (SDK), headquartered in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo held Ground Breaking Ceremony of the Third Can Making Plant - Ba Ria - Vung Tau Branch, on July 4, 2019.

This new Plant is built on an area of ​​7.4 ha, located at Lot VIII-5, VIII-6, My Xuan B1 – Tien Hung Industrial Zone, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Provine with the production capacity up to 1.3 billion can bodies per year and total investment capital of USD 64 Million. The new Plant is scheduled to start production in July 2020 and will attract about 120 local employees.

Making speech at the Ceremony, Mr. Hidetaka Makabe – General Director informed about the progress of the project and expected the new Plant will be a strong transition of the Company and contribute to the development of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in the future. Mr. Hidetaka Makabe also asked the contractors to implement the construction and installation of equipment to ensure safety work without any delay.
